August 19th, 2007 - Manu's first day

Sunday, August 19th marked our son Manu's first complete rotation on this crazy, watery orb we call home. Aside from occasional visits from the family, and an unending barrage of checkups, this day was essentially all about rest, recovery, and getting to know the little superstar.

We were also paid a visit by our doula, Veronik.

At one point, a nurse stopped by with a measuring tape, and Manu's height became official: 19inches (50cm). His head circumference was taken as well, but they have to keep babies with brains as big and perfectly well formed as Manu's confidential for the time being.

Manu also got to meet his Uncle Raphael for the first time today.
